‘Dirty Sexy Money’ looks like a winner for ABC
Wednesday, September 26th, 2007Dirty Sexy Money doesn’t feel like anything else on TV.
The show is set in the world of the rich and powerful in New York City. It’s glamorous, lush and quirky.
The program centers on idealistic attorney Nick (Peter Krause of Six Feet Under). His father, killed in a plane crash, used to be the family lawyer to the wealthy Darling clan, which is headed by silver-haired patriarch Tripp (the wonderful Donald Sutherland).
Of course, Tripp wants Nick to take over where his dad left off. Nick is worried about selling his soul, but, of course, he takes the job.
Dirty Sexy Money is filled with clever touches and neat subplots. My favorite: Juliet (Samaire Armstrong), the youngest member of the Darlings, is appearing in a Broadway revival of Wait Until Dark. She gushes to a reporter about how glad she is not to be blind, but it’s so much fun to play blind.
